88CET

    "88-cent equal-temperament", a scale used by Gary Morrison, named after its "step size", or interval between degrees, of 88 cents
    [= 0.88 Semitone].

    There are 13.6363+ equally-spaced degrees within a 2:1 "octave", thus, this is a "non-octave" scale.

    [see also alpha, beta, and gamma, other equal-tempered non-"octave" scales, used by Wendy Carlos, and also non-just-non-equal for other types of non-"octave" scales.]

    [from Joe Monzo, JustMusic: A New Harmony]
