Definitions of tuning terms

diesic


    A qualifier used to describe temperaments which are based on the distribution of the diesis (see definition #4 on that page), by which generic term is meant the ratio 128:125 = [2 3 5]^[7 0 -3] = ~41.05885841 (~411/17) cents, which was called "minor diesis" by Rameau and "great diesis" by Ellis.
