factor
In the case of a prime factor,
the smaller prime
integers into which
a larger non-prime integer may be divided.
In the case of an odd factor,
the smaller odd integers into which
a larger integer may be divided.
The factoring of the terms in the
frequency ratio
of a musical interval
is a fundamental aspect of my own theory of sonance
and my lattice diagrams.
