türk-sent
A very small unit of interval measurement for Turkish music,
invented by M. Ekrem Karadeniz in 1965.
A türk-sent divides the 53edo
comma into 200 logarithmically
equal parts. It therefore divides the
octave into
53 * 200 = 10,600 equal parts.
The türk-sent is therefore calculated as the 10600th root
of 2, or 2(1/10600),
with a ratio of approximately 1:_.
It is an irrational number.
