[Greek: "conjunct", "connected"]
The name of the highest-pitched
tetrachord in the
Lesser Pefect System
of ancient Greek music-theory.
The name describes the fact that the lowest note of this
tetrachord (mese) was the same as the highest note of the next
tetrachord (meson)
below it.
