SOFTWARE
- JustMusic (still under development), a complete microtonal composition and analysis application utilizing lattice diagrams to manipulate sound.
- micro.CAL, a program to input ratios into a CakewalkTM MIDI file, using CakewalkTM's CAL (CakewalkTM Application Language).
- Prime-ET, an ExcelTM spreadsheet which allows input of a table of prime-factors and their exponents and an n-degree ET, and compares them.
MICROTONAL MUSIC THEORY
- My book
- JustMusic : A New Harmony
Representing Pitch as Prime Series- What my book has that those of Partch, Helmholtz, and Doty don't
- Dictionary of Tuning Terms
come back often - always new additions!- my piece A Noiseless Patient Spider
setting a Walt Whitman poem, for the 1999 AFMM Microthon.
(see Kyle Gann's Village Voice review.)- Introduction to my Theory: JustMusic Prime-Factor Notation
- Explanation and Examples of my Harmonic Lattice Diagrams
also this interesting little lattice java applet by Ming Sun Ho
- Examples of my new 'octave'-specific lattices featuring the Partch 11-limit tonality diamond.
- Strange new lattices plotted by John Chalmers
according to some of my new ideas- Program notes to Hendrix Chord, my guitar étude
- Program notes to Theme from "Invisible Haircut"
mouse-over applet of Invisible Haircut lattices- Program notes to 24-eq Tune
